How to Reset a Tire Pressure Sensor in a Lincoln

Your Lincoln model comes equipped with tire pressure sensors. These detect under- or over-inflation and will alert you in the event that your Lincoln tire pressure levels aren't right. After you've corrected the pressure levels in your tires, it's possible that your tire pressure alarm light on your dashboard will remain on. This is a common glitch, and in order to turn the light off, you'll need to know how to reset a tire pressure sensor in a Lincoln. Just follow these steps:

  • Drive 20 MPH for two minutes or more. Hopefully, this will cause your sensors to take a new reading and turn the light off.
  • If this doesn't work, add five PSI above the recommended levels to each tire. Drive for ten minutes, and then, park your car, and come back in a few hours. The light should be off, in which case, you'll then want to deflate the tires by five PSI back to the correct Lincoln tire pressure levels.
